Government of Fong Kong will without expense to the Conniss-

ioners make on the said lot an approach road in lieu of such

portion thereof as may be given up as aforesaid.

The Government of Fong Kong shall be at liberty to resume and

take possession of the w. ole or any portion of the suid lot

coloured stock WE LHS Aud lup if moquired for the improve-

zent of the said Colony of Hong Kong, or for any other Fublic

Furpose whatsoever three calendar months notice in writing

being given to the Commissioners of its being so required and

a full and fair compensation being paid to the Commissioners

for any buildings that may be there standing thereon at a

valuation to be fairly and impartially made by the Surveyor

to His said Yajesty his Heirs, Successors or Assigns (now the

Director of Fublic Works) and in which said valuation the benefit

to accrue to the Commissioners from any such improvement or

Fublic Purpose shall be allowed by way of set off against any

damage they ray suffer from suo, resun bon s aforesaid.

The Goverment of rong Hong sbull also be at liberty at any

time to resume free of cost the whole or any portion of the

said lot coloured red on the said plan annexed hereto three

calendar months notice in writing being given to the Commiss-

ioners of its being so required and in the event of any portion

of the said lot coloured red being so resuled as aforesaid the

Government shall construct such works as may in the opinion of

the Director of Public Works be necessary for securing the on-

bankrent and for altering or replacing, eny works Lelonging to the

no persement works other than four or retaining walls shall at

any time be cructed or coretructed by the Comisslunce within 80

feet of the boundaries of the said lot adjoining Kennedy Road and Gap Road.
